The region, which has been spared the excesses of mass tourism, is ideal as starting point for excursions on foot or by car or by boat to abbeys, ruins and historic cities at the meeting point of the three countries, Austria, the Czech republic and Germany. An appealing place for wanderers who wish to relax in the midst of nature and have experience of history close up.
